There’s something special about taking simple, natural materials and creating an object that could last for the next thousand years.
A little about me.
I’ve always found joy in a project. Whether it’s sewing, beading, or a DIY home renovation, I live for the creative process.
It was the middle of the pandemic. I was riding the waves of postpartum depression. We were coming up on a long, cold winter. Then, my husband surprised me with pottery classes. It was the perfect gift. In that first, small evening class, were four other women in the same search for serenity amidst the chaos. We had found it; in the peaceful studio, at the wheel, through the simple act of shaping clay with our hands.
For me, ceramics is a moving meditation practice, natural stress remedy, and functional medium for creative expression. My pottery is inspired by my work in Interior Design and love for New Mexico, where generations of my family have cherished this desert homeland.
The pottery studio is my happy place.
It’s where I go to clear my mind and get lost in the flow.
